- Attach the load to the motor. Be certain the
there is adequate range of motion in both directions before beginning this
test.
- Try a short and safe trajectory move as in
other steps; use either the controller or MAX.
- Verify that the system is operating smooth and
that target positions are being hit within parameters.
- Tighten and check mechanical components and
repeat as necessary while changing various motion parameters to exercise the
system.
- Jog to a known zero point; reset the axis
position to zero.
- Repeat trajectory mode tuning with the
load-still attached if needed.
NOTE--It is not always feasible to do step-response tuning with a load
attached.
- Repeat with remaining axes.
