Load National Instruments Motion driver and utility software--
When setting up to a new computer system or to a system that has a newly re-formatted hard drive, it is important that the National Instruments FlexMotion Driver software is installed before the motion control card is inserted in the host PC.
NOTE--the operator must be granted administrator rights in order to perform the installation.
- Locate the install\NI folder on the installation CD.
NOTE--the control software has been compiled and tested to operate with NI-Motion v5.2. more recent download versions of from NI may not be compatable.
- Unzip the
NI-Motion5.2.zip file and run
setup.exe; follow the prompts in the
installation program to continue.
- Typically, it is best to choose the default installation location at the prompt as shown:
- The typical installation is the most appropriate choice as shown. (NOTE--there is no problem with selecting the other options as long as the driver software is included in the selection.)

You may be prompted to restart the computer. If so, you may do so at any time or simply shut down in order to install the controller card as part of the next step.
